Get Filing and Clear the Clutter!
The old adage 'Fail to Prepare, Prepare to Fail' as cited by Benjamin Franklin in the 18th century may be applied when considering any business planning or re-structure or office organisation.
This month, Ultimate will be posting some useful tips to helping you Get Organised.
A cluttered office can often clutter the mind, so a good start to getting organised is to organise your desktop first.
Establish a Filing system for your paperwork and a Storage system for your Stationery & Supplies:
Paperwork left in your in-tray will only grow into bigger piles. Keep Lever Arch Folders and Suspension files close to hand for immediate or easy filing.
Use colour coded document wallets for urgent or outstanding tasks, so you can quickly prioritise paper-work or tasks and not have to waste time searching.
An under desk pedestal with a suspension filing drawer is useful for files that you use on a regular basis, saving time walking between desks or offices. The top drawer is a great place to store regular stationery supplies, pens etc so they are readily available and not cluttering your desk top. An alternative storage place is a desk top tidy for pens or a monitor riser with a drawer.
