Galway News

Galway has received a lot of positive press attention thanks to the likes of Ed Sheeran's production of 'Galway Girl' and even the 'fake news' story about Leo Di Caprio's impending move to Galway, which went viral. Galwegians are sometimes perceived as being biased as we think the world revolves around Galway, but we are very proud of our city and love to 'show it off' to visitors and chat to anyone who is prepared to listen!
Galway City is weathering the storm this week and is still smiling despite the lack of sunshine. There are always activities and places to visit despite the weather. The Arts Festival is busy and people are already gearing up for the races!
Hopefully, we will get a glimmer of sun to brighten up August. The city changes and warms the soul when the sun is shining. It's a pleasure to see visitors to the city relaxing and enjoying themselves and chatting al fresco. Streets are filled with laughter, people are happy and business is thriving. Salthill is buzzing and beaches are busy. Climate really does make an impact on this city. As we say in Galway, if you weren't from Galway, this is where you would spend your holidays!
