Galway News

Galway has received a lot of positive press attention thanks to the likes of Ed Sheeran's production of 'Galway Girl' and even the 'fake news' story about Leo Di Caprio's impending move to Galway, which went viral. Galwegians are sometimes perceived as being biased as we think the world revolves around Galway, but we are very proud of our city and love to 'show it off' to visitors and chat to anyone who is prepared to listen!

Galway City is weathering the storm this week and is still smiling despite the lack of sunshine. There are always activities and places to visit despite the weather.The Arts Festival is busy and people are already gearing up for the races!

Hopefully, we will get a glimmer of sun to brighten up August. The city changes and warms the soul when the sun is shining. It's a pleasure to see visitors to the city relaxing and enjoying themselves and chatting al fresco. Streets are filled with laughter, people are happy and business is thriving. Salthill is buzzing and beaches are busy. Climate really does make an impact on this city. As we say in Galway, if you weren't from Galway, this is where you would spend your holidays!

Designer is now Affordable!

In the world of fashion and haute couture, designer pieces have always commanded higher pricing. We have made do with replica styles, but a lower price tag often meant lower quality materials.
This has been the same in the Interiors world...up to now!

Furniture designers are collaborating with larger organisations and manufacturers, making their pieces more affordable. One of these companies is SCAB design, an Italian manufacturer designing since 1957.

Ultimate Lesson in Planning!

Ultimate hopes you enjoy this video with simple lessons in effective planning and goal setting.
Lesson #1 encourages you to take the first step and organise a meeting with key members of your team. Value your team's input as no man and no business is an island!

Establish your ultimate goal for your business and also quantify it in monetary terms.
Establish a core team of participants from across your organisation, so that you have a cross section of ideas and goals.
Establish a Date for Discussion.

Invite agenda items prior to the meeting date so you can co-ordinate ideas and arrange a definitive timeline for discussion so you don't waste time deliberating over the same items. Include popular items on the agenda. Distribute the agenda a week prior to the meeting. Appoint a facilitator to take minutes and keep time. And finally, STICK TO THE DATE!
